How to change 2T Oil Pipes on Yamaha RX 100 or RX 135

Hope this video is helpful for rx'ians. I am thinking to make videos in hindi as well, i get many comments asking me to make videos in hindi as many people do not understand English. What would you suggest?

Use the activa petrol pipe for the large outlet which connects from the fuel tank to pump(good quality if u buy the orignal one and get one from honda) and for the small one (which connects frm pump to the carb) use the visible pipe u may get this at the auto gargaes :)

use maruti 800 OEMcarburettor petrol hose and forget about this . just u have to increase the grommet diameter for the hose to go through....... this transparent hose changes color and becomes brittle in less time

You can spray silicone spray on the oil pipe, it will help to increase the life of the pipes.

But this is not what we are supposed to do. Earlier we didn't do anything to increase the life of the pipes. The quality should have been better like it did some years back.

Thanks Abhi. Butterfly is just a name for the oil pump because it has that shape. This is more compact than regular oil pump. The diameter of pipe matters. Other than that i dont think it would be a problem.

Yes. It did. Had different half catcon, round meters, 5speed cover but with butterfly pump.

Does the tiger model have engine number starting with 1L7 or some different code? I'm asking these questions coz soon I'm planning to buy the Rx135 5 speed. So I need these info. If tiger doesn't come with 1L7 then which code it has do mention. Thanks bhai

5speeds were sold in 2000-2001.rarely in 2002 (old left over bikes). 4speeds were sold till 2005. 5speed has 1L7 engine series. Tiger 1998 model has 1L6 engine series.

Its the way the engine has been designed. Nothing bad though. But it is surely different than rx100. You should try the stock original muffler or maybe modify the muffler

@@motosoul I have stock muffler, I took it to the mechanic , he said tuning was improper (rich) , now my bike stopped making such sound. He tuned it properly. Thank you.

I didn't know the that 4 speed 2004 version side covers came with that I thought that it is from 5 speed new thing to learn and also didn't know about the butterfly oil pump and the oil seals are same hai kya bhai normal wala and butterfly mai??

Hi Deepak bhai. 2004 and 2005 models have this side covers and full catcon as well. Will make a video about an original 2005 rx135 soon :) i think the oil seals would be same but not sure. Havent really tested anything.

Last model 135 4s came with 5s like covers with no rpm provision. Smaller oil pump, small catcon silencer, different turn signals and round meters. Rest are same only.

Hi brother, how is the magnetic glass fuel filter holding up? I’m planning to buy it. And also is the engine head rubber kit essential because I don’t have it but I’ve seen on most of the Rx’s

Go for the glass fuel filter. Its better than plastic ones. Yes the head and bore rubber kit is very important. It reduces vibrations

@@motosoulpreviously I was using Motul 20W40 mineral oil. As I was going out of town I handed my bike to my mechanic for service and told him to put 20W40 oil but instead he added 15W50 mineral oil in the engine and he says it’s okay. Will there be a problem now for the engine?

Not really unless you push limits on the bike. Change the oil after 2k or 3k kms. Stick to 20w40 because Yamaha recommends that.
