I wish I’d seen this a week ago. I spec locked my upcoming Shark Blue GT4 last week and went with silver stitching after seeing your other video - I couldn’t handle the difference in colours. Looks great, well done.

you can now order them in shark blue, someone on rennlist has changed them, but I wouldn't do it myself personally, I don't mind the black ones :)

Great video - reminder that a modern Porsche still has some fun DIY projects. I have a GT4 with dirty silver straps from the PO. How do you think this would look/work with leather?

I think stitched leather straps would be a great idea! Would probably work just fine since the screws are holding in a plate so no ripping should occur

Did you buy the polypropylene strap or the nylon strap? Nylon is more expensive and I believe more up resistant….

How to change 718 door straps... Order the color you want when you purchase the car.... But you know what mod is insane? The wing risers 1000 for a set I literally asked them if they were machined out of a solid piece or titanium of are forged carbon for that kind of money. Like yea raising the wing up looks good but jeeesus that's highway robbery. I totally understand this mod if you buy one second hand or off the lot tho this was cool

door strap colors are limited unless you do CXX (only silver, red yellow and black), and blue was not an option so yeah... I think the wing risers look dumb anyway so save yourself money there :)

@@CTP1111 I agree it's a good mod if you buy it 2nd hand or one off the lot that's close to what you want. It's also the cheapest mod you'll ever do to a porsche 😂
