It’s a shame that this type of stuff isn’t taught in school... Most of what’s taught in normal public school is in most cases just interesting facts but they’re facts that don’t help you in life... Won’t help you get a job, won’t help you become smarter about managing your money/investing, won’t help you defend yourself in street fight or save someone else’s life, cook, lift weights safely, hunt, fish, etc etc... School doesn’t even teach you how to swim!

U wanna go woke on how these things should be taught in school blablabla how abt watch the video and learn on ur own. If u dont have a car, that's even more stupid for the school to teach

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: This is a helpful video, but lug nuts should always be tightened in a star pattern. It ensures that the wheel is seated properly on all the studs. If one side is tightened first, and the other side happens to not be fully seated, the edge of the hole can get caught on the stud threads. When you tighten those nuts, they tighten against the threads and feel secure, but once on the road the wheel will settle on the studs and the all the lug nuts will be loose. This is also why it is a good idea to check lug nuts 50-100 Km after changing a tire.
@azrizaki10397 жыл бұрын
Coronos bro . it's dosent matter to have a normal loosing lug nut when open it right ? just follow the star pattern when tightening ?
@coronos32847 жыл бұрын
Correct, there's no pattern for loosening. I would add, though, that if you're removing lug nuts that may be seized or partially seized, move each one just enough to be sure that it's not seized before fully loosening any of them. This will prevent excess pressure on remaining lug nuts that would make removing a seized nut even more difficult.
@azrizaki10397 жыл бұрын
Coronos tq bro . how about if we only have four lug nuts point . do we have to tightening based on opposite pattern ?
@coronos32847 жыл бұрын
Yes. The goal is to keep the wheel as flat as possible. For four lug nuts you would start by tightening two that are diagonally across from each other.

Thanks for the straight to the point video! Just had to change my first tire ever and I'm a whole grown up lol. Always had someone to do it for me. Walked out to my car in the garage with a complete flat! I somehow ran over a screw. Fortunately, I was at home and not on the road so I was able to take my time with low stress. Discovered that my spare did not have much air!!! I never thought about checking the spare's air pressure. So I learned two things. Fortunately I recently purchased a portable air pump so I was able to get air in the spare and drive to get my tire plugged. Plan to go get a good roadside kit for my car. I used the jack and tire iron/crank that came in my car, which got the job done but not the best quality.

So 3 most important things to have here (I think). 1)Spare Tire 2)Lug Wrench 3)Car Jack (thing that lifts the car)
@lauriemacquanan21412 жыл бұрын
did you see the spare was a bit flat? So b4 you go on a trip be sure the spare has air in it. The lug wrench is there on the crank so you dont need to get one. Also maybe have a small tarp to put on the ground so when you kneel you dont get dirty. I got a flat at 430 am in the rain b4 work as a city bus driver it was a mess. The tow company was on shift change i waited an hour the did it myself. I had a little truck and did not know that the crank goes in a little hole above the license plate... it drops the tire down. I have done a dry run on changing a tire during early summer wver since si i can change it fast.
