The swivel part...thingy (lol) is turning 360º when it only supposed to swivel between the 2 sinks which is probably 45º... Checking underneath, I couldn't see anyway to do so. Should I take the whole thing apart?

Missed out a little bit: like when you can't get your flexi hoses through the hole because the hole isn't big enough for a lock nut and hose. You have to unscrew one of the hoses from the bottom of the tap, insert the whole thing, screw that hose back in from underneath. Simple and obvious I know. Well the whole thing is simple and obvious. But many people, myself included don't see the simple and obvious in a new technology they've had no experience in and are fearful of unscrewing things they might not be able to put back. So it's worth just saying it: unscrew one hose if they both won't go through.

And how do you get the nut to the old tap off because the tap was installed before the drop mounted sink - the spanned doesn’t fit in the space to loosen anyone know where I can find the answer to that??
@javiermcdowell45699 ай бұрын
@@amandabotfield2150 dont really understand your problem because can't see it but I guess it's about not being able to get a spanner onto the nut for one reason or another? So I don't know, just hitting out in the dark. But sometimes when you cant get at a nut you can hold the nut so it won't move and you can twist the thing its holding. like hold nut, turn tap. Then turn tap and nut back to where you were a second ago and then hold nut and turn tap again. if you see what I mean. And another way sometimes you can get a punch in there an carefully punch the nut around bit by bit with hammer and punch. often such things only need starting and then they go with finger strength is enough. Often if you can't get the spanner in you can get a multi grip or similar in because they can grip the nut from more underneath rather than square on as a spanner has to be - again, if you see what I mean? I don't know if you know tools at all but there's 'multi grips' ( at least called these names here in Aus ) and they have jaws that open kinda in 'notches' to different widths and you apply with the strength of your hand. They're generally long and kinda slender and can get in places. But some really cheap ones fall apart on you. And good ones maybe you haven't got the grip strength and they'll slip on the nut. So a 'vice grip is better. They''re bulkier and so can't get in the slimmest of places but like kinda from underneath, they can do that. They have a knurled wheel on them and you turn it to set where they will 'lock' And you set it so's they lock on the nut at a width kinda just smaller than the nut. You do it by feel. It's easy. You set it an grip the nut; they turn around without gripping? Okay turn the wheel more. Now you can't close them to the çlick/ ? Okay back off a bit. Get them just right and they have an awesome grip on things. You can get a nut from underneath so's the vice grips are inline with the axis of the bolt through the nut - understand? - and then get another pair or a bit shifter on them to turn it and it'll turn the nut alright. Just punching in the dark. Hope it at least does no harm if it does no help. :)

Can’t get wrench back in tight spot is there a certain tool to tighten sprayer hose to faucet connection
@thowe957310 күн бұрын
I had the same problem. The mixer tap I needed to tighten was in the centre between two kitchen basins. There was little room to even see the nut that needed to be tightened, and no way to get a spanner on to it. I found a set of tube spanners at the local hardware shop that were made for installing mixer tap. These tube spanners are almost twice the length of "general purpose" tube spanners and made an impossible job very simple. Without this video, I would not have known where to start. The right tube spanners made it even easier as a DYI repair. The tube spanners I found are described as "The Haron Mixer Tap Spanner Kit features a 180mm length to reach high up under sinks in tight areas and covers all sizes of mixer tap nuts"

@Drenwickification3 ай бұрын
@@sashen6678how could that go wrong? Literally all you need to do is turn on the taps fully after you turn off the water supply to ensure there is no water being supplied to the taps and get as much water out the pipes as you can before disconnecting them. Is that so difficult?
