This is the most comprehensive video I found about this saw on KZbin. I just bought 2 of these saws from Home Depot. They had them buy one get one free. Thanks for making the video. I feel better about buying mine.

At 9:57, you brought the blade straight down, pushed it forward, and then back toward you. I was taught that the safer way is to position the blade in front of the wood and then lower it so it's located just before the edge of the wood, then turn it on and push the blade forward. In other words, don't pull a miter saw blade toward your body, especially not when its teeth are still engaged with the wood.

Extend saw and start the cut on the side nearest to you and push away from you to finish the cut. Teeth designed to cut in that direction and it's safer.

That saw is not that good, and the blade it comes with is a P.O.S. If the saw did not come with the stand when i bought, I would have returned it. Then, I woulld have went with the craftsman one or Kobalt 10 inch. They both slide smoother and are double bevel.
