How to change a scooter tyre

In this video, Jason walks us through how to change the tyre on your scooter, make sure you find and fix the affected area no the inner tube and tyre and some top tips to avoid any unnecessary accidents in the process.

If you are making the repair in the field look for a small pool of water, a stream, or even a mud puddle for use in finding the air bubbles revealing the leak. Failing that a little warer poured on the inner tube from your water bottle can be helpful.

With the Lezyne kit patches, how long do you need to wait before re-inflating? Does the adhesive need to dry?

What tyre sizes fit on the rims of the original wheels of the Swifty Zero? I'm thinking about changing the tyres to Schwalbe Kojak. The 16" ones are 32-349 or 16x1.25. Do they fit or are they too narrow? The tyres on the Swifty website range from 1.5-1.75 width. Or are there any other race like tyre options?

Hi, 349mm 16inch will not fit SwiftyZERO wheels, SwiftyZERO and AIRs are 305mm x 16inch

Thank you! I was lucky enough to get a pre owned but as good as brand new SwiftyZERO today. SwiftyAIR for the forest and ZERO for road :-) The difference between them is more significant than I thought. It's worth it to have two Swiftys. I annoyed everyone by talking about my Swiftys all the time today :-D So much that I'm no longer allowed to use the word Swifty.

How does it work with the electric front. Do you have to just work around the cable to the hub?

The hub motor has a connector, just disconnect this and you can follow the same steps.

Hi, you just unplug the connection, then re-connect the cable when you're done. It's quite straight forwards.
