How to Change a Sprinkler Nozzle | Krain makes it so easy no tools required!

In this video I decided to change my rotary nozzles to fixed nozzles. I am happy with both set ups. However Higher efficiency nozzles drastically knock down the time it takes to get 1/2 inch in a water cycle. With these Krain sprinklers bodies and sprays they make it so easy. Simple remove the old nozzle, replace with the new one, run the sprinklers and adjust with your hands. ZERO! tools required to make this change. So easy my son helped me in this video replace all the nozzles in my front lawn and backyard.

Are these interchangeable with rainbird?

Most are. I’d double check on the size and thread for female and male threads. But based on what I know almost completely interchangeable.

When I replaced my irrigation 6 years ago, I thought that I'd go with the Krain rotary nozzles. What a mistake! In my 7 zones, I have probably 60 heads. Each year, I replace probably 15. They get clogged and don't spin, or the blast water straight up, or the spin out of control. The ones you show here aren't that great. They spray a fan that mostly waters the furthest perimeter and not all that much close to the head. I wish I had just gone with rainbird. 🫤

Might not be so much as a sprinkler problem. Sounds more like well or dirty water problem. The sprinkler clogs because of the debris in your water not because it clogs on its own. I’d get your well tested or look at the lake your pvc pipe is pulling water from first.
