I was a little worried about installing the blade after reading a couple of reviews. But it was amazingly easy. Took about 1 minute. Works great kzbin.infoUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . Cuts easily and is perfect for pocket cuts I needed to make for replacing some old deck boards.

was given old table saw. no wrenches. This video big help. Changed blade using block of wood. Thanks much.

The new saw blades often come with reducing bushes because the bore of the blade is larger than the arbour spindle.

if we are using the 2 wrench approach to (1) secure the arbor, and (2) to loosen the arbor nut, then how do we know what size wrenches to buy?

Do you go clock wise or counter clock wise to loosen??
@rockler3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, the arbor nuts on most table saws loosen counterclockwise, like typical hardware nuts.
@therealdonchelios3 жыл бұрын
The wood method only works to loosen not tighten.

My arbor and arbor knot are stuck together with rust.. cant undo them
@rockler3 жыл бұрын
This is a serious problem. Try spraying the nut and arbor with soaking coats of WD40 a couple of times a day for three or four days. Then get a forged open-end wrench of the proper size for the arbor nut. Clamp a piece of wood up against the saw blade so it can’t turn and then loosen the nut with the open-end wrench. If it breaks free, remove the rust with more WD40 and steel wood and abrasive pads. Check to nut and arbor for defects. If you find them, they need to be replaced.

should of said whether is left hand thread or normal, i dont see why anyone would be watching this for any other reason. Its a NORMAL thread by the way , NOT left hand thread or reverse thread.

You never say if you loosen the nut clockwise or counter clockwise

@@BIKEMAN21 true, my bad to assume, but it's a standard. if a person's chop saw does not comply to standard, then the manual should be able to tell them.
@BIKEMAN213 жыл бұрын
@@aaronalquiza9680 Im going to guess all chop saws have reverse thread on account of the blade being upside down compared to a table saw.
@BIKEMAN213 жыл бұрын
If you dont have the special arbor wrench stick a screw driver into the blade so it interferes with the table and use a box wrench to turn the nut COUNTER-CLOCKWISE but preferably use the provided hex wrench that was stamped thru. a regular wrench could strip the nut due to how tight these blades can get. I would even recommend to take 1/8" or thicker piece of flat metal to make your own hex slotted tool because if strip that nut ur screwed.
