I'm sure that the engineers who designed the fob think it's "easy" to replace the battery; however, I didn't know 1) which type of battery to buy, 2) how to remove the secret key from the fob, 3) that you need yet another little tool to remove the battery - OMG, I had to watch your video, and thank God for it. Will someone please tell Toyota (their website is not useful for submitting a suggestion)? My suggestions: 1)engrave the number of the battery on the fob near the other mystery numbers (hint: just write Battery: CR2032), 2) have an obvious button you have to push to the side to open the fob, 3) make the notch holding the battery wide enough to use your fingernail to remove it. Not one tool, not two tools, no tools, please. It's only easy if you know how to do it, it's not intuitive. Thanks for letting me vent.

Thanks for sharing how to do this. The old battery measures 2.64V and its Fob was working intermittently. The new replacement battery measures 3.30V. I'll replace the battery in a 2nd Fob when the Fob stops working. Your video instructions were perfect. I subscribed.

Great video. Concise, excellent. I would recommend using a clean flat-head screwdriver to pop that case in half. The tip of my key is so thin. It fits in there nicely, but I'm afraid I'm going to bend it unnecessarily. Thanks again for putting out this great video.
