Perfect. Smarter than Siri who said, “Just pop the fob open”. However, the video was incomplete. It failed to demonstrate how to open the “Child Secure” packaging on the Duracell packaging containing the battery…VERY securely.

Thanks! The dealership wasn't willing to tell me how to do this over the phone. Said I had to bring it in and it would be $15 to replace the battery. The battery only costs $2.

Make sure it goes in one direction as well because I kind of messed up the fingers that hold it in place lol. Cheap replacement from Amazon anyway if it broke.

Thank you so much! I would have NEVER figured that out on my own. Getting to where the battery is, is like a Chinese puzzle or something. 😉 But then, Japan IS close to China. Anyway, this video was super helpful. I had the right kind of batteries on hand so I just followed along and got the batteries changed in both key fobs without any problems at all. Thanks again.

Don't know why I was worried this would be a super elaborate process that required removing 10 or so different tiny screws and using some sealant or glue or whatever. Thank god it was this easy, and this video tutorial got right to the point.
