How to change a WP Bakery website to Elementor Pro

Theres no fast easy way to convert WpBakery, its a full rebuild with Elementor. Fiverr has people that will convert WPBakery to Elementor for you for a fee. Either way looking a fresh build

You are not converting the site, you are rebuilding it. Converting would mean to show how to use tools or whatever else to turn a wpBakery built page into one editable with Elementor. This is not what you are doing. You are basically doing another Elementor tutorial here.

Great video and detailed explanation, just what I needed. Only think I would suggest would be to time stamp each section. However, I wrote copious notes with stop start as you worked through, enabling me to get a good overview of the repeditive nature of the editing/amending and creation features within the software. This tutorial with other great renditions of Elementor is a boon to novices like myself. WIth thanks.

Hi, there is no automatic way to convert, this is just the method I use to convert my old Wp Bakery sites to Elementor

There is no software that offers WP-bakery to Elementor pro. I use both builders, create the site from scratch with Elementor then remove WpBakery once the new pages are built

I did not understand why do you need to keep the codes from Bakery Page Builder while working on Elementor.

I kept the Bakery live so i could copy the style. Once each page was done I delete all the bakery code and remove the plugin. The site is fully Elementor afterwards

I would leave the default theme running, once you have added all the pages in Elementor and updated the permalinks then switch to the new theme

You can work directly on the page, delete all the Visual composer code, then build the page using Elementor. But all the pages need to be recreated in Elementor, its hard work but a much better page builder

@@JTechWP yeah I can see that. What I don't understand is building it in, say, hello and then changing it to my custom theme. Won't it screw up everything if does the theme now have no bearing on the design? And if so, what's the point of changing the theme?

I recommend 1 page builder per page. Running 2 at the same time would slow down page load speed

Ive updated the title, there is currently no dedicated conversion plugin or app, it has to be manually recreated in Elementor which is why i created this to show people a way to do it

@@JTechWP Firstly Thanks for works, maybe you can help; in phpmyadmin UPDATE wp_posts SET post_content = REGEXP_REPLACE(post_content, "\\[\/?vc(.*?)\]", ""); If the query is run, you can delete the wpbakery codes, of course, make a backup first. Because it may cause some features in wpbakery not to work, special gallery, flipbox, etc..

@@JTechWP Let's say the best suited title for this video is "How to create an elementor website using wp bakery design as model" because convert means that you use some tools, pluging or coding to convert a wp-bakery page to elementor without having to recreate all the pages, and this is what users are looking for, the easiest way too convert their websites to elementor without having to recreate all the pages which takes as much time as needed to create a whole website with headers footers and body content.
