How to Change Abu Garcia 6500 cs Pro Rocket Bushing to Bearing **UPGRADE**

What people don't understand is there a place for the speed bushing and a place for bearings. For us tournament distance casters who uses these 6500 reels without the guides, we prefer the speed bushing as it will actually be ALOT faster than with bearings. and those who use with line guide, it is better if you use bearings.

How is a bushing faster than a bearing?

@@TheThefallenwolf911 For distance casting we often remove the cog for the line out alarm and uses the speed bushing which will connect to the bearing inside the spool. the spool itself will spin on the axis of the spindle. and it somehow hold the spindle better and some said it stabilized and reduce the slight vibration caused by the fast spinning of the spool. For tournament distance casters, we fine tune as much as we can to get the smoothest and the best we can get out of the reel.

So you may have an awnser.. I upgraded a reel to 11 total bearings in it. When I spin it, it has this shake feeling and a humming noise with a slight shake in it. Is that normal?

But i thought the spool spun on the bearings (2) in the actually ends of the spool....the bushing in the left hand cap was only there to hold the spindle....that spindle is stationary...so why upgrade?

It helps with long distance casts in my opinion. Also I can free spool the spool almost twice as long as compared to the regular bushing. That in itself on my end was enough for the simple upgrade.

Yes he’s an eBay vendor but I deal with him personably as well as he also customizes reels too. Yes you still set the spool pressure

What size bearing in place of the bushing? I tried the 4x10x4 spool bearing and the center hole is too big so it's not smooth and makes noise.
