Thanks- so much. I would have never notices those rubber plugs covering the screws! I had the same exact issue with the battery. Decided just to take it out and not replace it. My son uses this as a server (for some reason he needs the video processing that this GPU provides). Of course when I was putting it back together, I had a few screws in the wrong spot- (I should have been paying closer attention). Oh well close enough! Take care my friend and thanks again!

Just did mine this video was a great help. My only problem was when I replaced the base everything clicked into place except one spot on the hinge side it just wont click into place, only minor but annoying. The worse side I found for getting open was at the back hinge side.

The swelling is caused by the battery? *I only assumed it was due to the way it was transported in a backpack. Battery failure led me here, and until it gets replaced, is it wise to just remove the battery entirely to avoid any further damage?

I havent carry in backback many times, it has been all the time on table in use. Battery is swollen because bad manufacturing quality. I dont know if it can explode. Charging battery will increase problem and if lot more swollen will finaly break cover. New battery will cost 80-90 USD in internet. I did not try to use it without battery, it may work without, but I dont know.

i just replaced battery and light around charger is orange , light on power button is white. It won't turn on.... idk what to do. Should i wait 2h to charge battery? i tryed remove battery, hold power button for 1min , insert again , nothing , still same . Its brand new battery
