Great video! Just changed mine after watching, it was very helpful. Getting my cap off was a pain though…

Thank you. Watched your video and I replaced both fuel filters myself vs taking it to a mechanic. Had a few minor mishaps but got it done.

Hey bud. Unhook the elec line to the water sensor. Just unscrew the main filter. Put a old milk jug cut open under it when to catch fuel. You can remove the sensor without the bath easier. Plus easier to lube the new brings and the unit goes back on as one piece

I subscribed! Thank you for this video brother! I see you have the ez lynk box, do you also have a SOTF 5 position switch? I bought my truck already done this way and I’m wondering how to find out what tune I have and what each position in the switch means. The ez lynk box came with my truck

Ok, so this looks to be a fuel water seperator filter right?

First filter he did is the secondary, and the 2nd one he did is the separator

Oil the O-ring! I didn't do that and it was nearly impossible to remove the cap. The instructions for my new filter say to use engine oil to lubricate the O-ring... an easy thing to do that will prevent the binding I experienced.

🤔Starting the engine without priming is going to “destroy the engine and fuel system”… really? Exactly how would that destroy anything? The engine will run for a few seconds and die. At very worst you’ll get air in the fuel line but it ain’t gonna destroy anything. Isn’t like you’re running it with no lubrication.

Actually diesel injection pumps are lubricated with fuel so in the long run this is bad for it after doing this a handful of times.
