Can I please this. The screw you undeed behind the cylinder, is it left unscrewed on purpose? You only screwed it out...

@mfanfikilekhomo1688. First of all, thank you so much for your comment! I appreciate your patience in waiting for my reply. The screw was loosened to allow the cylinder to fully retract, creating enough space for the new brake pads, which are significantly thicker than the old, worn-down ones. It’s not necessary to re-tighten the screw, as it will automatically adjust when the handbrake is used for the first time. I need to change the electric park brake motor. It stopped working on one side in the "rewind" position. Do i also need to push the piston back as shown in the video? Is there anything else I have to worry about?

@Belle1337. First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! In this situation, there's no need to push the piston. The piston was pushed back to create enough space for the new, thicker brake pads. The motor is equipped with a stroke limiter that stops it at a certain load. You just need to remove the old motor and install the new one, without having to disassemble the brake caliper. If you found my response helpful, I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider subscribing to the channel if you haven't already. So i definitely wont need the computer to wind back? Because i have an electric hand brake
@PAFixandCrafts7 ай бұрын
@hughoneill6555. First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! There is no need to use the computer or the diagnostic port. This motor has a stroke limiter that is active at a certain load. Practically, at the first push of the button, of the electronic brake, the piston motor will start to work until it reaches the stroke limiter. If you found my response helpful, I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider subscribing to the channel if you haven't already. You dont need to take off the handbrake motor. take of the el-conector, at put to wire with 12v +/- in the connector or use a 9 Volt battery as powersupply. .. ,. Easy
