The rear spindle nut is nominally 24mm. Your 15/16" socket is 23.85mm, which is definitely close enough to work.

You can always lay out both chains (old and new) next to each other to get the proper measurement of links. Also, you don't have to use a Master Link if you know how to reconnect a new broken chain.

I also overtorqued and broke off the front sprocket bolt on my cb125. You can't trust the lower torque range on those larger wrenches.

Lovely video mate.. i have a request. Can u also do a video on chain maintenance. My bike’s chain makes a chattering sound at low speeds over sharp bumps. I have tried loosening tighten etc but its not helping at all
@onecolektiv Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I don't have that bike anymore. But, if you still have the standard chain and sprockets, that noise is normal on these bikes. The only way to fix it is to replace them with after-market ones.

Dude, PBR Sprockets make a 15T front one for the CB, if you do a lot of Highway... I'm going to try it, when I have to replace mines. What I also observed is that with the 15T front one, the speedo error is way less than stock.

Oh awesome, thanks for telling me. If you do it let me know how it goes. I have the speedo healer I can just calibrate it to fix the speedo.

Hey hi ! Wich one do you chose for cb300r ? I’m searching one right now but i don’t know wich one. The only reference given by Honda is DID 520 VF but i don’t find him. And i would like keep the same sprocket.
@onecolektiv4 жыл бұрын
If you change the chain you should change the sprockets at the same time. I got a DID 520VX3 chain. You should be able to find them in basically any motorcycle parts store.

@ropeysubstance17194 жыл бұрын
Just curious, why did you change the sprockets along with the chain if the chain was the only main issue? Were the stock sprockets worn down enough to change them?
@onecolektiv4 жыл бұрын
The rear sprocket is the reason for the noise, so that's why I changed that. The reason I changed the whole lot is, the chain and sprockets wear together. So if you just change 1 thing, the wear grooves are uneven, which can lead to the chain or the sprockets wearing prematurely. Hope that makes sense.
@ropeysubstance17194 жыл бұрын
@@onecolektiv ok that makes sense. Also, do you plan to get some crash protection for your CB300r? If so, can you do an install video? I usually get frame sliders but for this bike I might go with some "crash bars" from SW Motech. I need the whole bike protected in case of a spill and I feel like crash bars will be superior to frame sliders.
@onecolektiv4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm definitely going to be doing crash protection but I'm going to be doing something completely over the top with it. I've just got a few more things I need to do first before I do that.

I have this bike and the chain noise drives me crazy. Will changing chain and sprocket fix this?
@onecolektiv2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the noise is from the rear sprocket. If you change out the chain and sprockets, it gets much quieter.
