for those of you who can not change your file type from .txt to .ini this is for windows 10 (not sure about 11 sorry) you have to go into your windows search bar and search "developer settings" open that and scroll to "file explorer" on the right side of "change settings to show file extensions" click on "show settings" find the checked box that says "hide extensions for known file types" uncheck that and then rename your file and the .txt should pop up. replace with .ini and youre good to go :)

your overcomplicating it like crazy man. When you're in file explorer u can just click the "view" tab the click the file extensions box. You don't have to open up the search bar or another window at all.

easy way... 1: enter dev mode like in the video 2: unpack data of the car you want to edit 3: go into the data folder of the car you just unpacked and find driver3d 4: open driver3d in notepad and replace the name of the driver with whatever driver model name you want 5: save and chick pack data in csp done

I just did this on a car if you just locate the extension folder and add this bit you don't have to do it for each skin! Just one addition and it will affect all colors of the car.

Very useful vids, thanks SirSpats. One question I do have is on occasion with some of the car mods it seems it doesn't hide the face / helmet of the driver model in VR. I realise there are some settings in the various ini files you can set but these already seem to be there. Have you figured out a way of hiding them (without moving your view forward via the onboard settings)?

Hi, make sure there are no spaces in the field, type exactly as I did. The dot ini at the end is what tells windows what kind of file it is

Im new in asseto and i downloaded some modded cars, but when i go into first person view, you can see drivers head from inside so you cant see where you going. Is there any fix for that?
