This method works to change the light bar color settings or just shut the thing off all together. If you have any issues leave a comment and I'll get back to you :)

Your tutorial works real well! But I think the light causes the gameplay to lag a lot. Latency is very high for even smaller things like movement in-game.

I've noticed if you're playing a game through Steam or if the game itself already supports the DualShock controller it will cause an input delay that's just like maybe a second but it's enough that you notice if you turn it off and it won't do that

Had an issue recently trying to use the controller wirelessly, after looking deeper into it there's a gateway error in the program right now from the windows firewall. In the update info the program devs explain what could be causing this. On another note I did manage to use the controller wired I just had to press the PlayStation button several times with the app running to get it to connect and work. If you are using this for games through steam though it will cause issues because steam has dualshock support. Hope some of that helped :)

I don't have a way to test the functionality of the program anymore. I do not own any dualshock 4 controllers now. From what I'm gathering though is that it doesn't function like it once did. I'm going to test it this coming weekend when I have access to the controller again

If it never turns blue when connecting to the computer then it's not fully connected. You may have to press the ps button a few times in a row but it will change from yellow to blue. This is when you can change the profile to your liking. Unfortunately this will revert when connecting it back to the console and it will function as a normal controller. This is a trick for those using a controller on pc

Make sure you save the changes to the profile or it will remain blue. It works best with usb cable connection but it must be connected it showing up in the software before it will work with the color profile. You may need to hit the ps button a few times

I will say that this program is very dated at this point. The last time I downloaded it, it still function but the controller wouldn't work great with all games. As the PlayStation controllers gain more native support through Steam and many other games, this program will interfere with the controller input and cause input delay. This isn't the case for all games but it is an issue I have had

The program will run in the background after you close it, to close it completely click the little arrow next to your sound icon on your start bar at the bottom of the screen and Right Click the Ps4 controller icon and click close. This will close the app entirely or you can do so through the task manager with CTRL ALT DEL

Not sure if it's possible without some time of jailbreak on the console. The only reason this works is because Windows supports the Xbox controller. This program tricks the Computer into thinking it's an Xbox controller so it can be used. Along with that the light bar and touch pad become useless as the Xbox controller doesn't have these features so the program will let you control the light bar and remap the touch pad if you want
