Fill the new oil filter with oil before mounting and seal the oil ring with a bit of oil!!! The engine will run dry on first key!

is this car specified 5w 40 or 5w 30, at least for my 2.0 non turbo?

Thank you for the feedback! Depending on the condition of the engine, it is permissible to change the oil to a different viscosity, in this case the oil 5W-40 was more suitable.Best regards, Autodoc.

If the engine is high mileage or you live in an area that has high temp use 40.

That's far from being a tutorial.. I opened it to see how it's done but ended up finding mistakes by the so called mechanic. 1. Didn't mention anything about warming up the car a bit so the oil flows better. 2. Who takes the filter off then drains the oil? (but I'll ignore that for this type of car) 3. Didn't say anything about the oil ring, you should mount it on the filter with a bit of oil. 4. Didn't prefill the filter with oil. 5. Open the engine filler cap or pull out the dipstick before draining so that oil would flow better and not splash all over the place like a full milk carton. 6. Always change the ring on your drain screw and torque it properly..
