I currently drive an FJ. As a further safety measure when replacing a tire, I would place the spare tire under the vehicle just in case the jack malfunctions. Then swap out the busted tire and install the spare on the vehicle while placing the busted tire under the vehicle. After the whole thing is done then mount the busted tire on the rear door or keep it in the cargo compartment while sending it to the tire shop. Alternatively I would always use a tire repair kit for simple punctures instead of using the spare tire. Saves a lot of time and energy that way. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Cheers from Saudi Arabia.

I am 17 years old and my parents bought me an fj. My tire completely popped and I was 14 miles from the nearest town. This video saved me. Thank you

My FJ Brother...thank you so very much. I'm sending this video to all of my nephews that own an FJ just like Uncle Joey. Thanks again brother.

THANK YOU! I’m comfortable changing a tyre but it is always fantastic to watch an example, so I know what to expect first. Perfectly clear step by step tutorial. Thanks brother 👍

Having just purchased an FJ and owning it a couple of weeks, the part where the loose jack and bits are put in the back temporarily I wouldn't recommend, stuff slides around in the back like CRAZY and could damage your plastic interior. I actually purchased an actual anti fatigue safety mat on clearance 43" length cut, fits perfectly and cargo doesn't slide. Had enough to make rear floormats as well!

I really love your videos on the FJ! One point, in the salt heavy roads of the northeast, be prepared with a mini sledge to break the wheel loose. Also, if your tire shop has a torque jockey on staff, have a breaker bar with a 21mm socket loaded and ready to go in place of the lug wrench. Best $10 I ever spent!

Thank you sir for showing us the best place on the frame to position the bottle jack. I love my FJ Cruiser, it's a great veer-i-cle. 😉

This was great to watch. I know how to change a tyre, I was more interested to find out where the jack and spanners were kept. I didn’t realize just how high the bottle jack can lift the vehicle. I always thought they were too small.... now I know. So I learnt something new... nice

I learned something new. I thought I needed a philips to loosen those screws for the jack spinner but apparently not. The FJ is a pretty cool “veercle”.
