Nice video. Length o time of the project, price range of parts and labor, examples of the limits of the worn parts would be nice. Thanks

I read elsewhere that unless you disconnect the 12V battery then the Prius has a brake pressure pump that will operate automatically as soon as you have the caliper off the disc and pump the pistons out of the calipers, drain all the brake fluid, and generate a fault code that can only be reset at a Toyota dealer. Sounds weird to me. Can you confirm whether this is true?

This is (mostly) true: The ABS in the Prius will apply pressure to the braking system if the driver side door is opened - and if this happens during the middle of this procedure while the caliper is hanging in mid-air the brake piston will be pushed out of the caliper. But rather than disconnecting the battery you can simply remove 2 ABS relays from the fuse panel instead. This way you won't have to re-program your radio and change other programmed settings (like turning off the reverse beeps, seat belt beeps, etc.) Also, fault codes can be re-set by anyone with an ODB scanner tool, not just a dealer. These tools can be had for very little money and I'd ague that every car owner should have one.
