In my opinion you should open the brake bleeder screw with a hose going into a brake bleeder bottle and then compress the caliper. If you push the old dirty fluid up into the brake master reservoir you stand a chance of goofing up the seals in the master cylinder or abs pump. And why put high end ceramic pads on rotors that need to be replaced?

Trying to take short cuts on an instructional video....sorry, but thanks anyway. And when was the last time you had a caliper "seize up" so you needed to put the OLD PADS back in?

Why would you put the pads on without turning the damage rotor?

Because it's not my car and home girl didn't bring me new rotors. She brought them the following week.
