My son (who is a BMW Master Tech) just did it in 20 minutes, without removing anything beyond the brake calipers and the disk. Super easy job, no need to dismantle the whole suspension...

Long-winded way of doing it. I just removed the calliper bracket and disc, then took the four hub bolts out of the hub carrier insitu. I think they are trying to sell more tools. My tool list was: Wheelbrace, 18mm impact socket on ratchet with 6" extender, 6mm hex key, penetrating oil, copper grease, torque wrench. What I also had to use was a big hammer and a cold chisel to get the old hub out of the carrier as the aluminium and steel bond together over time. I wouldn't have liked to try doing that in a vice, the car holds it much steadier.

Great vids, But he already over tightened these bolts with impact gun before using torque wrench. 7:25

If you can listen to it, it barely has any power. So he didn't really overtighten at all. I put my lug nuts back in with impact gun, but I still have to tighten them even more to get correct Nm with a torque wrench.
@Tifon7773 жыл бұрын
Also the torque is wrong!, it is 81 lb-ft or 110nm and not 81nm...

@@AndreasEUR notice the bolts didnt screw in any more when using the torque wrench, therefore they were already overtightened.

How easy was it without taking it all off? Can you get to the hub bolts on the back easy enough?

Can confirm this, just done it fairly easily with the steering on full lock
