I would strongly suggest also replacing the short sections of hose and all of the clamps at the same time as the filter. My cay was leaking from the hose, which had rotted away.

Any idea what size hose that is? edit: nvm it's 8mm x 13mm, apparently 5/16ths works as well!

Not every e36 have the filter in that location. My 93 320 got it under intake manifold... A real mess to replace
