ermmmm. How the heck do you get the fuel lines to detach from the filter. He appeared to use a very light pressure with one driver pushing in from the side and the other driver to pry... Is there a special place to push in with the first driver?

Thank you for your comment! It is correct, before disconnecting the fitting, you should first press the button, it is easy to notice as it sticks out a little from the fitting body. Best Regards, Autodoc team

@@autodocuk thanks for confirming. The button on mine was quite discreet. I ended up brute forcing the line off the filter. That was a very bad idea as the line seems damaged and won't fit into the new filter... DO NOT BRUTE FORCE THE LINES OFF THE FILTER!

What? No taking out the fuel pump fuse and run the car to stall ? That's the correct way to depresurize the fuel lines and avoid most fuel spillage.

... years ago on old diesels it was common practice to "prime" the fuel system other wise the engine would not start .. it needed the fuel pressure to crack the injector nozzle .. This is not the case in L jetronic or later common rail injected cars ..
