I can confirm that after 100000+km the glow plugs are still in good shape.

Took me a while to find a good video, this helped me change spark plugs on a VW Golf GT MKV'07' only thing I would say is the Cam shafts get in the way and not alot of room for manoeuvre, so a slim/short 8mm flexi adapter would stop ya sweating lol cheers again 👌😎

Well i'm guessing that in a qood service it also expensive. In the end, doing it by yourself its satisfying and there are always other broken things that you find in the process. A service will of course ask you nore money or leave it as it is so that you return to them and get it repaired...

It's a torque wrench fella, the dial is set to the allowed torque the glow plugs are tightened to.

Actually I used a low force. If i remember i had it on 15nm ...At this engine the glow plugs are in oil so it was easy. Just remember to use copper grease when you install the new one

What is the special tool you speak off... I have always used a 8mm deep reach 1/4"socket?

@@mdon1662 glow plugs are only used when starting up the car so it doesn't have a rough startup

if 1 is faulty, you can still drive it. no problems. even if 2 are faulty you might be able to start it. but in the winter you might have preoblems. it better to change the asap and change all of them even if only one is faulty. i did exacly that. i scanned with vcds tool and i had only one with problems. i change all of them
