how to change glow plugs on a Seat Alhambra (or VW Sharan)

Hello, your movie was very handy. I had also need to exchange the glow plugs in my seat alhambra 7n. Unfortunately you were right that the 3rd glow plug from the left is different then the other ones and indeed it is much more expensive. In my case around 180 eur pcs. The part number of this different one is VW-AG 03L 905 061 g. My engine model is 2.0 tdi 184 HP. This 3rd glow plug cover was also much more difficilult to disconnect at least for me.

Yeah thats how we found it was trickier to remove and then looked different... sorry to hear it was that one. Huge difference in price. Inthink they also have a pressure sensor on it or something...

@@RobTheFrugalist Yes. There is preasure sensor integrated in that glow. Finally I decided to exchange that one also. My car did 160 000 km on original glows so I think there was a point to exchange them all at once.

Pff microscopic differences over many miles? No idea.

Glow plugs could burn out from faulty connections or excessive heat in the cylinder causing carbon build up. This then makes the plug hard to 'self clean' resulting in failure

​@@housamalali6176 the best tools ive found are the halfords advanced tools. Theyre fairly cheap to buy as bigger kits and come with lifetime guarantee so if you end up breaking anything, it is free to replace

I think you should have begged borrowed or stolen a torque wrench to fit the glows, you got lucky taking them out as well !
