The center bolt - is the preload to the headset - you tighten that first to put a load on the headset bearings. When you have a good tension/load, then you tighten the pinch bolts. Same technique for regular headsets, same for "hollowtech cranks".

*I just opened up mine like you did and packed the bearing with grease, re-tightend everything back real tight and now the forks are stiff with no play and no more annoying squeaking or creaking. A shorter handlebar post is hard for my elbows, they sore even on short trips and this is due to the vibration of the bike on the road. A longer one will give me an opportunity to bend my elbows, so they'll absorb the shock, resulting to a more comfortable ride.

How do you stop the creaking sounds from the handlepost and handlebar? I have sprayed WD40 at various places but does not seem to work. I think when I brought to the retailer, they did remove the handlepost to apply grease. Could creaking from from the fork? Do I need to remove the fork to grease it before putting it back into the frame?

WD-40 work as a degreaser instead of lubricant in this case. I will suggest you to open up and use grease instead of WD 40.

Hello, my frame is a caliper brake version which only out in market for a short while. It get updated to disk brake after that so there's no V brake mounting point on the fork and also chainstay

Your handle post must me change when buying the new handle post must try it on the bike then you will know if it goes left or right

Is yo handlepost telescopic version? Might need to lower down/ raise up to have more clearance. To change the fold direction you will have to change the handlepost. Usually the seller will stated in description that fold left or right

Yes Fnhon does have a 3D construction handlepost, but not widely available. If you can buy from taobao.com, here's the link item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.31.37b32be0WHgspw&id=549455542398&ns=1&abbucket=17#detail Do note that even with that your handlepost might creak. You still need to maintain the joint regularly (I do it monthly) and also not to put up too much load when riding.

Usually folding bike handle bar are 25.4 instead of 31.8. You might need to change your handle post to T post and a stem to acoomodate 31.8mm

Hi, it should be commonly available online or bike shop as the clamp size are not something special. Handlebar clamp size is 25.4mm and seatpost is 33.9mm

Make sure it's tighten but not over and also do apply grease on every threading. This should reduce the chance of creaking. Also you will need to maintain regularly.

Hmmm it shouldn’t be wobble. Check if the M10 bolt is tight enough and also the clamp is not loosen up. If you can’t find the problem, maybe visit your local bike shop

I'm here for the knowledge only but as the steps shown here Heng forgot to remind us that the functions of each bolts to connect the entire handle post to the fork. The small bolt (m5 I think) act as the guide for the m10. The small bolt need to be tighten to guide for the m10 to get the m10 tight enough to hold the handle post. Then, retighten the small bolt to make sure there's no play. Try these steps ya buddy. Maybe Heng could provide us with some proper torque tighten numbers as well.

Sorry bro, but the correct sequence is to loosen the size 6 side nut then loosen the size 10 big nut. When install back, should be tighten the size 10 big nut, then only fully tighten the size 6 side nut.
