How to change oil on caterpillar c15 engine | 2005 Kenworth | DIY step by step

Used rotella t5 synthetic blend for the oil 15w40. All caterpillar filters. Currently 5000 miles on fresh inframe.

I use Lucas in my truck one gallon of Lucas some people don't like it but I use it and never had any problems

Ive used it and really haven’t seen any difference. And actually the better oil that’s worked for me has been Mobil delvac now. Truck runs a lot smoother and oil pressure doesn’t drop at all.

How did you end up liking the caterpillar primary filter felt any difference from the fleet guard? I was looking up this exactly how you explained it for my next oil change.

I felt a lot better throttle response. The only difference would be it’s that fleetguard is made with metal inside and cat is all plastic.. but I’m using fleetguard on my next one.

@@T.W.S.1223 are you using fleet guard again because it’s cheaper? I’m wondering if it’s worth it money wise to spend on the cat filter.

Using it more for the performance, but yes the price being lower than cat is a plus. I’m still using cat oil filter

How about the secondary fuel filter? Do you think Fleet guard is better on that too?

Runs kind of rough with the secondary being fleetguard. If it’s not cat on the primary it’s the 1212 fleetguard but secondary is always cat.
