If you have an Autozone near you (and possibly similar auto parts places), they will lend you this tool. Mine required a 60 dollar deposit, fully refundable after I returned the tool.

Great job man what can I do to push the piston down without a tool
@AlbanianFix Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’m not sure since I did this manually but look here in the comments, there is someone who said that you could easily do it from the cars dashboard where you can revert the piston automatically back in its place without lifting a finger.

You can try using a large C Clamp

Disconnect electric motor. ( 2 torx) than inside by torx you rotate the mechanism. Than you can push the piston by simple tool.

Didn’t know that. Will do next time! Thanks a lot!!

Dunno if anyone cares but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend these days :)

Or remove the electric connection and use 12V with a cable to rewind the motor. I do so and it works good.

Do they need a wind back tool? If so I'm selling it lol
@D5DRIFT3 жыл бұрын
Mate. There is a much more easier way to do this. 9v battery onto the pins of the electric motor and it winds it back in
@AlbanianFix3 жыл бұрын
Lol, yeah I’ve heard this before and I probably would’ve done it if it was my car but I was afraid burning something up 😂😂

You should remove a electric motor, it is much easier

I thought this was spring loaded like in some other cars, lol.

Don't follow this video - as D5Drift said, it is way easier if you first wind back the electronic parking brake with a 9V battery. See this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqqYZXeBh62fd9E I followed that procedure and it was really easy to push back the piston. I was able to do it with light pressure from a C-clamp.

evidentemente non conosci Volvo. Stai facendo un lavoro assolutamente sbagliato e stai danneggiando l’impianto!
@AlbanianFix5 ай бұрын
Sì è corretto! Ho imparato dai miei errori e ora so che Volvo ha lo sbloccaggio automatico del pistone. Grazie per il feedback.
