The torq spec should be in video, but if I missed it - here it is: Fill/Drain Plug - 33 N.m / 24 lb ft

Just did this service on my 2007 Colorado today. The rear differential does not have a drain plug only a fill plug. Two choices. Either take the housing plate off or use a pump to suck old gear oil out of the fill plug. I opted for choice number two. The front one had both a fill and a drain plug. Used 75W-90 gear oil. Had a very hard time getting the fill plug off the rear had to spray penetrating oil on it and really reef on it. Vehicle shown in this video is not a Colorado I do not believe.

If you have a drain plug like in this video - no you don't need to take cover off. And unless the gasket is leaking - you don't need to replace it.

HOW MUCH OIL I HAVE TO PUT IN ?

Always go by your manual, mine 2 1/2 qts. In practice, you buy 3 bottles and keep filling until fluid start dripping from the fill hole.
