Most German car's rear shocks or struts are really not that difficult to change out. I've been doing it a long time to Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. Did a complete swap with two Audi A8s from stock struts to coil overs swapping from the other A8. Did it all in an afternoon using only a jack and jack stands and no lift. So I'm talking 8 shock/strut assembles all together.

Well I had a few f-bombs. Probably easy with a good air impact. Cordless impact wrench wasn't strong enough to remove the bolt. You can only fit a box end wrench on the nut. Had to turn it 15 degrees, flip, turn, flip...until I could go back and remove the bolt. Needed a 16mm for the nut on the end of the old shock. (New one was 17mm). Installation was very easy. All bolt threads still perfect.

Does the 2006 audi a4 b6 have different shocks from the b7 model??

Please for the love of God use a torque wrench, impact gun is NOT the way to go.
