Yes, oil filter gets dirty and it has to be changed every engine oil change.

This looks like a 2014-2016 Corolla. Toyota refreshed the Corolla for the 2017 model year, but the engine is the same, so this applies to the 2014-2019 Corolla. The air filter is easy to change, so do it yourself and not have a repair shop do it as it saves you money
