What is that part. It is the first thing removed from the engine held down with the T30 screw. While changing my plugs I crushed it and white plastic came out.

Do you need to replace the coils or just the spark plugs on a 60K miles A4?

It is recommended to replace the spark plugs, but the ignition coils need to be replaced as needed. It do not have a replacement schedule.

Why do you unplug those small connectors from the ignition coils, I noticed in other videos people don't disconnect them?

The small connectors were disconnected to make easy access when replacing spark plugs.
