I just got a 05 325i today, fixing to do this myself, in all my years of KZbin school for my DIY projects, I have to say you are hands down the very best I have ever seen, from the post edit arrows and little helpful signs you used to the very detailed explanation and every step was covered. I really appreciate it man. Thank you so much

Excellent video, no excessive talking, loved the high speed moving forward. Good work, I wish more videos would get to the point like you do...

Thank you so much for creating this video dude! It was very hands on and informative while at the same time being easy to follow along with what you are doing as you go, this was a fantastic video! 🎉🤝 Forget the mechanic, I want to replace the ignition coils and spark plugs on my '03 330i and videos like this definitely give me the confidence to give it a go on my own!! Bonus thanks for listing the tools and spark plugs that you used too. Cheers from Cali 😎

I wish I saw this before having a garage do it. Parts and labor were quite expensive. Video very well done. Thanks

Great job man! appreciate the video! it's like walking on thin ice when working on a BMW but it doesn't seem like its gonna be all that bad lol

The e46 really isn't bad at all! The most common risk in breaking something is plastic being brittle but that's going to be the case for any ~20 year old car.

Great video was wondering if there is different size torque wrenches
@TheNewMechanic2 жыл бұрын
This is basically the same torque wrench I used: amzn.to/3WuM4zo. They do have a smaller 1/4" drive torque wrench as well: amzn.to/3U9H8i6Z (both affiliate links). Harbor Freight has some torque wrenches as well. From some of the reviews I've seen they appear to be just as good and a tad cheaper.

There are total five torx screws and the fifth one is located underneath on the right side of the cabin filter tray. I think your car is missing that screw which is great. I don't know they put screw there it is a pain in the ass.

Kind of odd, but I changed my sparkplugs and the whole car stopped turning on, like no crank no start. Any thoughts on that? (2001 Bmw 325i)
@TheNewMechanic2 жыл бұрын
No crank is really odd! Nothing comes to mind in the spark plug job that would cause that but I'd double check all the wire connections - each coil pack and the 2 grounding wires on either end of the packs. Does your dash light up when you turn the key? If not, I'd check that your battery to see if it's unhooked or dead.

@@TheNewMechanic dash lights up and the battery has been replaced, i might just have to get new grounds on the sides

INPA might have some error messages that could be useful ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Other than that a failed starter solenoid comes to mind. Literally just happened on my e92 m3.
