I literally just finished working on mine. Had it not been for one of the 10mm bolts on the manifold being seized up, I would've finished sooner. Took me about 8 hours (had to make a few trips to the Auto Parts store.) But this video was a BLESSING! Thank you guys for taking the time to make it. It was step by step, and I watched it as I worked on my car. Taking everything apart took longer, but reassembling everything was a breeze, but I couldn't have done it without this video - so huge thanks again!

Great video guys! I would recommend to go ahead and change the coil packs as well while you've got the top of the motor torn apart, especially if you're getting a misfire code. Realize it's an added expense so depends on your situation. Well done!

I actually had a 09 Nissan Sentra, after watching this video, I'm glad I didn't try. Before that, I had an 02 Dodge Neon, I changed the spark plugs without a problem. But it's like a lot of these newer vehicles, they don't want you doing nothing by yourself.

Just did my plugs at 165K, did it before around 100k, the sparks were pretty damn nasty this time around, and will need to replace the valve cover gasket as oil was on the spark threads this could be why for all those running high mileage, engine runs much better with the new plugs, you will become expert at pulling this silliness apart in record time working on this MR20DE engine

My daughter has the same car . Changing the plugs has been intimidating. not like my toyota easy I will save this video going to change the gaskets and I might do the coils also. .I like the video make it look easy gonna take the plunge definitely before winter hits.
@neilsouthard55014 жыл бұрын
Great informational and well done easy to listen to would like to add a couple of things. One: Its important that you don't over tighten the plugs especially with aluminum heads it stretches the threads and they my break next time you try to remove them. Finger tighten then torque to approximately 7 to 15 lb. ft. for 14mm threads and 15 to 20 lb. ft. for 18mm threads. Two I am a firm believer in anti seize, having dissimilar metals(aluminum heads combined with steel spark plugs) can cause galvanic corrosion and the plugs will seize in the hole. Again thanks for the video.

After 133.000 miles on a 07 Nissan Sentra, I changed the spark plugs and sp coils. I really don't feel too much of a difference. There's no misfire or nothing wrong with it, but I expected some more horespower or better gas mileage. Oh well don't hurt if I changed it.

Who knew it’s time to trade in car rather than change the spark plugs? Had a 1979 Chevy Monza Spyder Sport Coupe with the 305 V-8. Had to loosen motor mounts and jack up the engine to change those plugs. Didn’t know Nissan hired all the old chevy engineers.

Everything good except step one. Just be careful and ALWAYS disconnect the POSITIVE terminal first. Keep the battery grounded (negative is ground). Try not to touch the positive wire on metal as it possibly could be holding some charge after you disconnect it.
@ajsam45169 ай бұрын
First step is right ,please check the reason behind it.
@polarbear3538 ай бұрын
You do not disconnect the positive side first. Always take off the negative side first. It’s an extra safety precaution and there’s less chance at shorting something out. If you’re changing the battery, reconnect positive cable first.
