Hi Chris Only just started to watch you , thank all the videos are great 👍 Just been watching this one , only thing I would recommend is “ please don’t hit the output shift , I recondition steering boxes and when I get them and the threads are all mushroomed over it’s a pain in the ass to try and pull them back in to working order” 👍👍

Doesn’t need calibrating the light has come on because you haven’t put the steering shaft uj back in same position, if you look on top of shaft coming out of steering box there is a line engraved into it,that needs to be aligned with the open slot of the steering shaft uj where pinch bolt goes, 👍 you may only be 2or 3 splines out but it’s enough to put the light on.

Had exactly the same thing with a steering box on a Volvo. (ESP) reminds me of the time we did my steering box on my old Volvo f12 in your workshop many moons ago
@Professional-struggler3 жыл бұрын
Didn’t have no esp on the old f12 😂Did we do a top seal on your one? Because you had to have the box out to do them to, your going back sometime now Danny 😃

I have rear steering on my truck, how do I bleed the air out? There are 3 lines with connection plugs. I’ve heard that the official bleed machine have two lines only. You run trough steering oil, and push the rear axle right and left. Anyone got any experience?

Ain’t they set up the same as a car with the steering angle sensor that’s fitted behind the steering wheel I know in range rovers this is a issue that we see if it isn’t aligned correctly when the steering wheel is removed we had an apprentice that spun it round we where going mad thinking we had screwed up wiring thankfully he mentioned what he had done so we corrected it

Hello Chris...I was thinking on buying a Scania, and am located in Canada, but the truck has right hand steering and in My country we have left handed steering. Would it be hard to change the steering to left side and the pedals and shifter? Are THE STEERING AND PEDALS all hydraulic or are they mechanically attached. Thanks, keep up the great work.
@iivaridark6850 Жыл бұрын
I think most of the Scanias have left hand steering, look for in Sweden and other scandinavian countries and Europe, they sell more than 15% in the market so I think there are a few available...

@@iivaridark6850 yes i looked in Sweden and germany norway ect ..all left-hand steering...seems like its only London that is lefties...lots of trucks for sale:)

For the love of GOD will you put the nut partially back on when you're swinging a hammer to crack a taper
@iivaridark6850 Жыл бұрын
Ithink he hit the collar not the threaded part... But anyhow, yes, better have the nut there than destroy the treads, if for some reason the hammer should wander and end hitting the wrong place.
