As I've learnt from past experience over the years working on cars, buses and trucks never ever say "easy job" for example one lad at work did a kingpin and the job went well, everything came apart with not much trouble and 2 hits on the old kingpin with the sledge hammer and the pin flew out and it all went back together good. 2 months later he did the same job on the same make and model of truck and he said to the foreman "easy job" it took 2 hours just to get the old kingpin out as it was well seized and he was swearing more than Roy Chubby Brown.

When I have to undo those fittings I use a wide flat bladed screwdriver underneath the fitting to act as lever , definitely need to use good fitting circlip pliers as well, then to refit I always spray a bit of silicone spray on “o” rings, always seems to work for me 👍.

Hey Chris could go do your local Halfords and ask at the till for a trade card, it'll get you 20% off pretty much everything car related, could get yourself some Circlip Pliers. They do a set of 4 for about £20-25 after trade discount and they are lifetime covered so if they are fucked they will just give you a new pair. Just don't file them or used the angle grinder on um only thing they won't cover😄 haha. Same goes for their spanners haha
