How to change the air filter in a 2005 Infiniti G35 (in excruciating detail)

Holy crap. This guy WAY over complicates this job. There is only 1 bolt you need to remove to do this job, it is the bolt that holds the air filter housing to the frame, located to the right and behind the housing. You remove that 1 bolt and unsnap the 4 clips and you can get your air filter out, and the new one in. You do not have to take off any of the housings he fast forwarded through in the beginning, you don't have to disconnect the housing from the hose to blow it out. Read the service manual before preforming any self-service to any vehicle. Do not trust You-Tube DIYers. If you ever wonder whether or not your car needs a new air filter, just ask "Does my car have a K&N air filter?" If the answer is "no" then you need a new air filter. It will be the last air filter you ever buy for your car. You can wash them with soap and water then put them back in the car (MAKE SURE THEY ARE DRY FIRST!!! Hydrolock is real). They are guaranteed to last for a million miles.

It is not easy to see. Is your G35 a 2005 model. If not, it could be in a different place but the enclosure should look very similar. Maybe follow the throttle body back from the engine and it will lead you to the filter enclosure. Good luck.

please don't take the 4 bolts off. There is a different video that shows a quicker way. Those are a real pain until you understand the best way to do it.
