Lol, you're not the only one to fall for this, I've just done the same. I had the battery light flickering on for a while, so I checked the battery, ok it was a bit low, so I changed it.. Battery light still flickers on, so I changed the alternator.. Battery light still on! So tomorrow I'm gonna do what you did and check that £1 fuse! Thanks for the info!

Great help mate. fortunately I tested alternator 1st with multimeter...it was charging good so light on was another problem (broken wire !!) Would have been scratching my head for a while tho cos fuse had blown and I didn't even know there was one for that til I saw this so kudos to you mate..and thanks for posting

Thanks for the video, what tool did you use to get at the bottom right bolt as I didn't have room with a standard 16mm socket and wrench, the catalytic converter and bracket is in the way. A regular spanners awkward because the alternator housing is in the way of it too.

Hey bud, I have the exact same car as you and have the exact problem... ill see if your fix is the same fix for me. I have the battery light on and have replaced the battery and alternator.

Yes try it when we troubleshoot the issue turns out from a wiring diagram the battery light turns on if the fuse breaks so check the wires for a short then chrck the fuse box as we repaired the wire and still same issue then check the fuses and found oht it had tripped
