Love the Galfer wave rotors. They look amazing, not sure they really made a huge difference to performance, that’s my honest opinion after 3k miles on them. I felt a much bigger difference from using the Lyndal Extreme pads, however they are noisy very loud.

So I’ve had these extreme pads on for about two months already. My stuff is recorded for a while so I can stay on top of my schedule. Use them on my tail of the dragon trip and I’ve never had any noise at all. My front rotors are warped so I actually just purchased and received them in the mail for the cubiq rotors from galfer with their sintered ceramic pads. Hoping I like that setup!

@@RidinDad on a side note, did you end up upgrading your valve springs when you swapped your cam?
@RidinDad
@RidinDad 2 жыл бұрын
I hope so too!! Not a cheap upgrade lol. And nah. My 475 lift cam was a drop in cam. All I did was the chest & pump plus 5.5 lifters. Valve springs stayed the same

@@RidinDad sweet, I’m about to do the pump swap my lifters and springs. I’m getting way too much top end noise. That 475 cam sounds amazing.

Yo man, great video! Im about to swap out the front brake pads. Mine are actually worn out, though. So I'm going to open up the resouvoir and when I compress the pistons to pull out the old brake pads. Once I get the new ones on and the brake caliper bolted back on. Once I hit the brake, would that push the pistons back out?
@RidinDad
@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
Yupp. You’ll have to compress it a few times before the pistons push the calipers out to make contact with the rotor

So I've heard recently the only brakes worse than my 2020 Lowrider S is a 2022 Lowrider S : ) true story, how... I can't imagine.

The maintenance manual says to replace the PAD PIN, but I reused it in the video. Is it okay not to use a new one?
@RidinDad
@RidinDad 5 ай бұрын
I’ve always reused. The Harley manual also says to only use genuine HD oil too…

No. I believe I explained this. I didn’t open mine because the pads I was replacing were almost completely new still. If they had many miles or were very worn down I would have

@RidinDad
@RidinDad 2 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s crazy. I’ve never really done burnouts on this bike so I didn’t know how bad the front wheel was. But even with just this upgrade for the brakes it wants to engage ABS all the time. And yeah the rear is the worst because there’s barely anything and being able to lock it up if you really needed or wanted to you would really help in slowing down the bike a lot I feel
