I did the bulb replacement for the fan control on the lower left and the middle control as they were out and the T1 size from ebay described by Box of 10 #7219 Lamp Bulb, 12 Volts, 60 mA, 0.72 Watt, T1 worked and fit fine. However, the top 2 bulbs that go into the display are a different size. I discovered that as I took out the bulb and saw that the bulb is much larger by maybe almost twice. THerefore when I installed it all, the side I replaced is much dimmer. I'll need to do some more research to find the right size for those bulbs. Even in this video you can see that the bulb he takes out for the display are larger than the ones he takes out(although it fits loosely). Just thought somebody might benefit from this fact.

Do these need resistors? I bought some 3mm bulbs and they came with 470 ohm resistors. 🤔

Thank you for the video. Maybe next time you can use a different angle because the majority of the time all I could see was your left arm or what you were doing was getting cut off at the top of the screen.

All 6 bulbs are the same 12 v mini bulbs?

Thank you for the video. I have to replace a bulb in my climate knobs so your video was well timed. However, can you give the specific Radio Shack number for the bulbs or more detailed specs on the bulbs? I could not make out the bulb number on the Radio Shack package. I went to Radio Shack and found they had multiple types of bulbs. Are these bulbs LED or incandescent? When I look on line, I find many bulbs that look like the ones in your video but they are incandescent 7219. Thank you

Gregg Brewer, the bulb is a 12v micro lamp bulb. It is an Incandescent bulb. Here is a link to the bulbs on radio shacks website that you would need to purchase to replace the ones in the temperature Control knobs. Here is the link. www.radioshack.com/products/radioshack-12v-microlamps-2-pack

terrific-- thank you very much... just knowing that they are incandescent lets me buy them at multiple places; its hard to find a radio shack store these days....cheers..

Could you give me the exact number of light bulbs for the air conditioner ...? and where can I buy them
@bullseyenate2316 жыл бұрын
Keibert J Rincon M, Keibert J Rincon M, I purchased my micro lamp bulbs for my car at radio shack. Radio shack is actually going out of business so you may not have one locally but you may find the online. Here is the link to radio shacks website of the bulbs you need for your climate control knobs. www.radioshack.com/products/radioshack-12v-microlamps-2-pack It says they only have five left in stock so if they are out by the time you go to order I would maybe try amazon next. The actual bulb is an12v Micro Lamp with a current of 60mA.

Are there other colors available?

JLAW904, not at radio shack; however, radio shack has since closed down. I’m sure you could find different colored ones maybe even LEDs with a quick google.

Nicholas Williams, I’m sure you could get them from the Toyota dealership; however, I’m sure they would probably make you purchase the entire bulb. I would try and search online first to see if you can find them before Toyota though.

This video, though useful to many I am sure, was not about replacing the light bulbs in the climate control KNOBS as the title says. The bulbs you changed were to light up the display panel.
@bullseyenate2316 жыл бұрын
N Chandra, well if you would have watched the entire video I explained the temperature tire control knobs as well. The procedure for changing the temperature Control is the exact same as the display anyways.
@chandne6 жыл бұрын
Oh, I did watch the whole thing. I must have missed that transition part. I need to change both the display and the knob backlight. Some day, I would like to change the little multiple LEDs that each knob has, if possible. Thanks for the information and the video.
@bullseyenate2316 жыл бұрын
N Chandra, the bulbs for the Control knobs are right underneath the ones for the display and they work the same way. I haven’t tried converting to led equivalents for these but I’m sure it is something that can be done.
@jassco26 жыл бұрын
Just to clarify, these two bulbs shown are for the info LCD backlight and power to these two are 6V instead of the 12V going to all the other bulbs on that unit. You can use a multimeter as many others have shown to prove that. The 12V incand bulbs mentioned work fine for everything as shown because they can still run and perform dim functions, but this is why when people try to place 12V LED lights for these two, they flicker or won't work. Thanks for the video. I may just do this and keep the rest LED unless I can find a 12V to run for these two instead
