How to change the front camera of an iPhone without losing Face ID

Excellent! I replaced my front camera to find the Face ID didn't work and frankly I valued my FaceID more than I did the front camera! Then I found this video. Managed to do it myself without the tools I had available and now phone all working again with the original FaceID module and new camera. Thanks so much!!!

Hi, first of all thanks for the video and how well you explained it. I have a little problem, I followed all your steps and for some reason after finishing the repair I get the "Face ID is not available. Try again later". I've tried every solution I've found in the internet: cleaning camera, trudepth and dot sensors, reseting face id, reseting the iPhone, updating it, even reinstalling the firmware, but nothing works. However, it is a little bit strange because after reseting or reinstalling the firmware, the first time when I'm setting the face id everything works and after that if I try to use it, it doesn't work, and if i reset it and try to set it again it doesn't work. I don't know what may be happening but I would aprreciate very much your help or any other's. Thanks in advance

ya! about that... i had partially working face id on my iphone xs on ios 13 it would load but it wouldnt read my face..but it stiil opened the face id part then after i updated from ios 13 to 17.3.1 face id quit working completely! the front camera work in the camera app tho it just has error msg in face id

Just did this for the base 11. Still lost FsceID

I have tried it on 12 pro max and xsmax it always get damage don't know what im going to do
