Really good video. Im going to attemp to change my spring inshallah. How long did it take you to do all that? And Do you know where I can get the big washer plate for the top mount. I have a big gap like about an inch under the dust cap on both sides.

Hi. It will take about 2 hours to do this job. You can get the washer from any hardware shop.

@@diykhan I spent 3 hours just by loosening the top strut bolt and the sway bar linkage bolt. I have a problem I was wondering if you can help. So first the sway bar linkage bolt i tried looseing it putting the alan key in and a 17mm spanner. It loosend off and the bar goes back and forth but it just wont come out. It wont even tighten back. Now I have a sway bar that is loose and making a ratling noise when I drive. Please will you tell me how I can remove that bolt without cutting it off as its still good. Also the top mount bolt is stuck from the top it just wont budge even with alan key in place and spanner in place it will turn but the whole ting turns and the bolt wont loosen. Please if you have any tips on removing these bolts let us know it will really help. Thanks.

Hi. You can use a vice gripes to lock the pins or strut.

@@diykhan iv just tried locking the sway bar joint from the back where the boot is but the nut still spins round won't tighten or loosen up. Im guessin it will have to be grinded off and new sway bar fitted in but don't have a grinder. Is it still ok if I drive like this with the clinking sound?

Taking the dust cap off is quite simple. If you take your thumb and your index finger and squish the top alit bit it will pop up and come off. Or there is a outer line drawn on the cap put a small screwdriver on the line and push it upwards it should pop off.

It took me an hour an half. The rear ones are bit easy due to less components to remove

No it doesn't. I didn't disturbed the track rod end so no need to get the tracking down.

Mine is involving a lot of colourful language. Allen key on to anti roll bar seized and no room above the strutt.

Try using angle grinder to cut the linkage so that u can free the strut. If u need any more advice then feel free to let me know.

I managed to hit a slightly bigger Allen key into it. Job finished now. I should've took the anti roll bar off first.
