good video, but I didn't hear you tell us the actual problem you were having with the gearbox shifter and how you diagnosed just this part as needing replacing - I assume it was shifting problems of course, but in what gears (all gears or only some e.g. reverse)?

Thanks for this amazing video! Maybe a stupid question; the bearring where the axes comes into the gearbox, should that one be installed with the bearing spring facing outside or inside the gearbox?? I’m replacing it now because its leaking. I’m in doubt if the ones in is correctly installed by the previous owner. The spring is facing towards the outside of the gearbox.. Maybe someone can help me with this!🙏🏽

@@Italjohn Thanks for the reply, I learn alot from your videos! With some searching I found that the bearing spring allways must face the oil side. So it’s wrong placed, maybe the reason for leaking! I’m going to replace it anyway

We use GL-4 80W-90 or syntetic GL-4 75W-90. If you have limitited slip diff, you need the same gear oil with the letters LS (Limited slip) Link to LS oil: www.brickwerks.co.uk/gear-oil-t3-transaxle-lsd.html

Mien was completely dry , I done it and It makes an difference just don't over do it on the linkacge bushings because it may attract dirt ( put some one but not too much ) but you can put as much as you want on the box

what I don't understand is why you are not cleaning the parts when working with them. it is not very good to put new rubbers on dirty parts. This I don't like! except that, it was a good tutorial. Thank you!
