Really helpful video! Thanks for sharing and providing a video that actually shows how to do change the fluids, where to look for the drain and fill plugs, and what products to use. As a new owner of an older ranger I appreciate the walkthrough, great job on this video!

Thank you so much, I've been trying to find a video on how to change my Ranger's oil for a while, and this is the first one I've come across that actually shows how to do it. Great video!

Just watched one of your videos here and I got to say that's probably one of the best and most entertaining how to videos I've ever seen I just stumbled on your channel because I just bought a Polaris ranger of course with no manual no nothing one of those as his deals and was looking for a little help on finding the oil fill cap. So you definitely just gained another subscriber. Thanks for making this video!!!

I'm fairly new to your channel so I'm playing catch up. I have a 2012 Ranger 800HD. Love it... even my wife; after grumbling about NOT needing it... really likes it now... my Grandson really likes going "fast" on it. (He's 3 now) I've used "Purple Power" cleaner/degreaser on the underside etc of my Ranger... it really gets any oil off with very little effort. (Just my 2 cents) I like your tips on making this task easier. Keep it up... enjoy all your videos. After watching your channel.... I have a strong itch to ditch my compound bow and get a crossbow. We'll see. My 64 year old shoulders (rotator cuffs) aren't so good so a crossbow is looking better all the time. Really enjoy your videos.

Hey Rich around 12:18 For taking out or putting back in they make a Universal Joint to put on your Extension . And what it does it articulalate`s so you can be all the way on the part and you don`t have to lean the extension . Thanks for the editorial i`m thinking about getting me one .

I service mine and it is somewhat of a pain, Polaris didn't design it to be easy. For the oil filter, I use K and N with the nut welded on the end. Just make sure you DO NOT overtighten them. The end of the oil filter will leak if you do. One half turn after the gasket seats is enough. 32 oz. fills my transmission up. I've never had to add any more. Make sure the allen wrench is all the way in these plugs or you will round out the hole. I shortened my 8mm allen for the transmission fill plug so I can use a universal on my 3/8 drive ratchet and extension. Thanks for the video.

really good tips here, thanks! I like the shortening the allen wrench idea. I bought a wobble extension, too, to try out. maybe i'll do a follow up video on Ranger maintenance sometime and include some of these ideas and a review of the wobble extension. thanks again!

Somehow made it back to this video again, but another tip.. always take your fill plugs out first. Don’t wanna drain all your fluids then have some sort of issue of not being able to get your fill plug out.

I don't know if the Ranger has one "It should" but on car and trucks there is a vent on the differentials that we"Auto mechanics" clean when servicing differentials. They can get plugged and cause the seals to leak. If you have a vent you should make sure its clear. Great video

Great video. Anytime after you power wash it, be sure and grease all your grease points. Also, check out the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I use AMSOIL in all our powersports equipment, but then again I’m a dealer so I may be a tad biased. If you ever decide you want to switch, let me know and I’ll hook you up with a good discount. Thanks for all the videos.
