How to change the oil in a petrol (and diesel) generator

I broke in my Champion 11500/9250 by 1st putting some STP in the spark plug hole and pulling it through 10 times to make sure the cylinder was well-lubed. I changed oil after 1 hour then 2 hours then 4 hours then 8 hours. I used Walmart lawn mower oil for that. I got a great deal on Valvoline VR1 and I use that now. My reasoning is these small, hot-running, high-RPM engines probably catch as much hell as racing engines do. This gen. always starts on the 1st or 2nd pull. I use Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas. I might be a little overboard on maintenance but I want no problems when I need it. You did a great job on showing the finer points of doing an oil change that you don't see on other videos.
