Just to give everybody a heads up, make sure you extract the oil right where the oil filter is as well. You have to hold the throttle wide open and start it while pumping. If you have the throttle wide-open, it will not start and that’s the key. You just want it to crank . Not start! Do that a few times and you will see all of the oil start rise.

I just took my entire top off to do this. Took the time to replace plug. It was not as easy as I thought it would be. I bought that pump and had to keep messing with it tho get every bit of oil out. By the way, you actually used Synthetic blend and not Synthetic as you say verbally. The seadoo manual calls for synthetic blend. I wanted to be a big shot and put fully synthetic in but again that is not what the manual calls for. Any other thoughts anyone?

Yup- I use a Mityvac pneumatic extractor. Easy as heck. And at the end of the year I maybe have 20-30 hours on it. Plus I use either Valvoline Delo 400 or Shell Rotella 5w/40 full synthetic, which is what I use on the outboards, ATV and mowers.

You stated E8 socket for oil filter (3) bolts,but are you sure it’s a Torx size or what? Should be standard mm size. My stealership says you have to do oil change with top off, but you make it look easy peasy. Thanks for the vid and clarification on the socket size.

No problem! Yes, e8 is TORX. Do you best not to drop them, unscrew carefully!

2022 manual says once per year or 100 hrs , never hurts to do it more often though

It's 50 the first time for all Seadoo besides Spark. Then every 100hr or once a year but spark first change is 100 and 100 for the rest of its life. If It's a non spark then it gets the first chance at 50hr. Every 2 years or 200hr on plugs and 5 years on coolant@@tinbratusek7876

Correct, but for such a cheap and easy job, I take no chances lol. I wish I had the time to put 50 hours on per year :( the green ski doesn't even have 50 hours on it haha!
