Followed your instructions. 10 minutes and I had the shock off and spring replaced. Thanks this makes things easy. Would be good if KTM provided the hole standard on the bike.

Man I sure miss my 1984 twin shock Husqvarna WR500. Only 4 little bolts to take off to get the 2 shock’s off, a 4 minute job if you’re slow.

There's nothing I miss about an `84 Hunkavarnish. Breaks your leg to start it, vibrates like a dirt compactor, slower than modern 250s, drag your feet to stop (especially if you get the brakes wet), flimsy flyer fork tubes, no e-start........the list goes on.

Hopefully you can provide some guidance. I currently race a 2023 KTM 300 XC - Love it! I'm wanting a dual sport so I don't know whether to go 500 EXC, 500 XW-F or 450 XCF-W. Get the EXC or one of the others and add a dual sport kit. I'd appreciate your input with respect to initial cost vs conversion/performance. Thanks!

Hello: I bought the XW-F because it has much better tires than the EXCF, no turn signals or other stuff I don't want. I don't know what "dual sport kit" you think you might need because both models are able to be plated for street use. Both models run poorly in stock EPA form and will need a Vortex ECU slavensracing.com/shop/vortex-10-map-ecu-ktm-vortex/ or GET ECU slavensracing.com/shop/slavens-mule-athena-get-sx1-pro-4t-ecu-kit-for-ktm-hqv-gg/ to make it rip. A new video about my 500 will be posted Thursday. Stay tuned. FYI: If you subscribe to our channel, you get the new videos automatically.
