Today we are changing Spark Plugs! Spark plugs are a critical component in any motorized vehicle running on petrol (gasoline). Spark plugs ignite the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder, which produces power. Worn or damaged spark plugs can seriously interfere with proper engine operation, as a weak spark (or no spark at all) may cause misfires (hesitating under load or a rough idle). This issue is often diagnosed with codes such as P0300, P0301, P0302, etc. Heat leading to cracked insulators or carbon buildup is another common cause of spark plug failure. For the Opel / Vauxhall Corsa C, spark plugs should be changed at least once every 65.000 km (40.000 miles) or 4 years. When replacing the spark plugs in any vehicle, make sure you are using the correct type of spark plug, with a correctly sized gap (consult your owner's manual).
This easy step-by-step procedure should be quick and easy to understand for the home mechanic. This tutorial also applies to most car brands such as Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen (VW), Honda, Chevrolet, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mazda, Nissan, Peugeot, Fiat, Renault, Volvo, Suzuki, Saab, Citroën, Landrover, Jeep, etc. Before attempting to do any repairs on your vehicle, please consult your owners manual or local authorized dealer/mechanic.
