Great stuff paul its a pretty quick job with the right tools it tool me a day and a half filming that side but only 30mins for the other side feel free to leave another comment if you get stuck on anything happy wrenching

Excellent video. I note you got some Ultima Shocks for the rear. How have they been ? Have you used Ultima front struts before ? Seem similar to Webco.

There a good shock i have had no major problems with them if budget is holding you back i would recommend them if not Mabye monroe gts another good brand i have used and recommend.

@@BIGPOG Thanks for that. They definately well priced for a full set plus bolts etc. The front strut bolts alone are more than the set or Ultima rear shocks 😯. They seem to have been around for some time but not too many reviews.

@@amounifnd yer i don't think they have great reviews but for me they worked as a shock would for a cheap option i would recommend if you were doing like a pro build i would get something abit more higher quality.

I just wanted to confirm if the mount top washer is down side up??? @ 09:32 Actually I have done it flush side up!!! Wanted to know the correct way??? Appreciate your assistance

Yer the washers look weird when being installed but i can confirm that the flat side goes flush to the strut mount like in the video should be a easy fix for you to spin it around just be careful with them spring compressers 👍

Why did you disconnect the battery to replace a Strut mount ???

@@stevewilson8752 most of the time when working on a vehicle disconnecting the battery is the first step even know this is over kill its a safe work practices.

@@BIGPOG yes the shocks :) do you know if you need to release the hand brake to get the rear swing arm to drop down to get the springs out ?

@@babylonhobbiesandfpv4862 hello again get a jack under the control arm and remove the swaybar link then slowly lower your jack down and with a bit of leverage the standard height spring will come out if its lowerd it will be much easier

Mate I done exactly that, same kit. And everything and still has play movement on the upper washer plate in the engine bay. Any ideas?

Hey mate sorry to hear about that it sucks when you do a job and it dont go to plan it sounds like the strut mount are not at the right torque setting i will have a look at my book tonight and see what it is i think its done in threads of the bolt.

Hey mate i had a look today and the haynes manual and it states top bearing retaning nut is 70-85nm Strut top locating plate nuts 50-60nm
